Marija Radenovic - Resident Physiotherapist

Marija Radenovic, HBSc, MScPT

Marija completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto, and received her undergraduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, and behaviour from McMaster University.

During her studies, Marija developed extensive experience in research which she continues to use to keep her treatments up-to-date in the ever-changing field of physiotherapy.

During Marija's training at One Step Ahead Mobility, she worked closely with our Registered Orthopaedic Physiotherapist, Kasra Mirhosseini, and also shadowed our Registered Neurological Physiotherapists.

Marija enjoys helping clients with various neurological diagnoses or orthopedic injuries to become more active. She is trained and qualified in manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release, Active Release Therapy (ART), and mobilizations with movement.

She uses these techniques to build treatment plans and exercise programs for clients who have sports injuries, strains/sprains, joint replacements, arthritic conditions, or those who are looking to safely start an exercise program after experiencing a heart event.

Marija uses her knowledge from her studies and her practical experience to advocate for the immense impact exercise can have on someone’s psychological and physical well-being.

“We all know we should be active throughout the day, but this is much easier said than done. This is why I enjoy giving practical advice and creating realistic programs that fit into your busy lives. The best treatment or exercise is the one you will keep doing.”

When Marija is not working, she enjoys watching movies, exploring new coffee shops, and painting.
