Ghazal Bina - Yoga Therapist

Ghazal Bina

Ghazal is working with us to develop a series of yoga and meditation programs to be used by our clients in their various physiotherapy journeys.

Yoga and meditation can play a valuable role in taking care of your mental health and maintaining a well-balanced lifestyle, and we want to offer you the opportunity to take time for yourself and reset on a regular basis.

Ghazal first stepped onto a yoga mat in an Iyengar studio in Tehran, Iran when she was 19 years old and majoring in philosophy at university.

“Since then, yoga has become a significant part of my life; it’s now my lifelong passion and career.”

Ghazal completed 500 hours of Hatha and Yoga Therapy training in India, a ten-day Vipassana Meditation course in Nepal, as well as 500 hours in Vinyasa Flow and Advanced Ashtanga Yoga training in Toronto.

In her classes, Ghazal “challenges practitioners physically, mentally, and spiritually to guide them to find their inner light and guru through asanas, pranayama, meditation, and stillness.”

“When my dad was recovering from knee replacement surgery last year, I found a strong connection between yoga, Pilates, functional movement,

and physiotherapy. I now combine yoga therapy with physiotherapy exercises to design customized classes for people with specific needs, goals, limitations, and injuries.”

Ghazal wants to share her knowledge and help our clients find a strong connection with their bodies, minds, and souls, and find belief in themselves.

"I strongly believe that One Step Ahead Mobility is a great clinic because they care for people's improvement and believe in the power of physical therapy and yoga. I am learning a lot from their team every day and I add everything I learn to my classes to enhance the recovery process of their clients."

“We’re stronger than we think. An appropriate, customized program, can help you overcome obstacles, injuries/pain, and feel better and stronger every day.”

In Ghazal's spare time, she enjoys reading, watching documentaries, hiking, and attending a variety of movement classes.
