Kasra Mirhosseini - Registered Physiotherapist
Kasra Mirhosseini, BScPT, MScSEM, MCPA
Kasra Mirhosseini is a Registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Kasra attained his Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham in the UK, and earned his physiotherapy degree in Iran.
He is trained and highly qualified in various manual therapy techniques such as spinal mobilization and manipulation, myofascial release, Active Release Therapy (ART), muscle energy technique, the McKenzie method, and dry needling. Kasra also has a keen interest in exercise rehabilitation and chronic pain management.
These qualifications helped Kasra develop a treatment method that is just as fast and effective on clients with varying jobs and routines, from office workers to fit athletes, and everyone in between.
Kasra has a strong academic background and taught orthopaedic clinical assessment and injury prevention at the University of Shahid Beheshti in Iran. He has also been an active member of the Iranian Physiotherapy Association.
“I love learning and I’m always studying clinical research and guidelines, as well as publications in physiotherapy and osteopathy, to try to integrate them into my practice. This started ten years ago when I was working as a sports physiotherapist for a soccer team. I became increasingly frustrated by the limited results I could get treating injuries using traditional physiotherapy; therefore, I developed a technique that didn’t just focus on easing the patient’s pain, but finding the underlying problem.”
Many of Kasra’s patients believed that painkillers and surgery were the only options; that they simply had to live with chronic pain on a daily basis. Kasra has helped thousands of people by easing their pain and restoring their movement naturally, with no injections, medication, or surgery needed.
Kasra has also developed a course for Yoga and Pilates instructors, to give them a deeper understanding of the physiological, anatomical, and biomechanical foundations of body movements in health and disease.
“Now in Canada, at One Step Ahead Mobility, I am helping more people who are in physical pain. I treat patients with neck pain, jaw pain (TMJ dysfunction), tension headaches, shoulder problems such as rotator cuff injuries and frozen shoulder, lower back pain and sciatica, and knee injuries. So far I have achieved wonderful results and I’m happy to help people in my new home.”
My Physiotherapy Story
I had a slip on ice and pulled my hamstring. I was in lots of pain and had difficulty walking without pain.
I saw Kasra at One Step Ahead Mobility. Kasra worked on my hamstring and he gave me exercises and stretches to do at home. I saw him for 3 sessions and began to feel relief almost immediately after the third session. I was amazed at the quick recovery.
Kasra was great to work with. He’s very knowledgeable and had great solutions to help in my recovery.
Thank you, Kasra!
